And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.- Isaiah 30:18
His Nature: God is compassionate, gracious, and near to us.
His Timing: God “waits” to act, and we are called to wait on Him.
His Blessing: God’s actions are rooted in both grace and justice.
Waiting on God is not inactive….it’s positioning yourself in trust….that means accepting where God has you. It may look like being laid off, a challenging relationship, or struggles in parenting.
God’s delays are not denials; they are often tied to His perfect timing and purpose.
Faith is most deeply developed in seasons where outcomes are uncertain. God’s compassion means He is not ignoring you..He is working in ways you may not yet see.
Reflection:
What am I currently waiting on God for?
How do I typically respond in seasons of waiting, trust, or frustration?
What would it look like to wait with faith instead of anxiety?
Action:
Choose one area where you feel delayed or uncertain. Instead of trying to force an outcome, commit to praying daily and thanking God in advance for His timing.
Gracious Father, thank you for the opportunity to know you more. We honor you for your love, kindness, and direction in our lives. Father, help us to trust You in our waiting. When we feel impatient or uncertain, remind us of Your goodness and perfect timing.
Teach us to rest in Your grace and believe that You are working all things for our good. In Jesus’ name, Amen
