Matthew 5:14-16 KJV

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Jesus’ declaration: “You are the light of the world.”

The Revelation: We are meant to be visible, not hidden.

The purpose: Shining is not self-promotion but to point others to God. Good works are evidence His light within us.

Where has God positioned me to be a light (work, family, community)?

Am I fully showing up in that space, or am I holding back?

What does “letting my light shine” look like in practical terms this week?

Focus:

Intentionally demonstrate an act of kindness, leadership, or integrity this week that reflects Christ whether in a conversation, decision, or opportunity.

Gracious Father, thank You for calling us to be a light in this world. We honor you for your Joy when we are weak, your grace when we are weary and your Strength when we are worn.

Help us to live boldly and authentically so others can see You through us. Father, we ask that you remove any fear or hesitation that causes us to hide, and use our life to bring glory to You Master and Savour. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
