1 Kings 17:1

Elijah declared to Ahab:

“…there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”

Later, James 5:17-18 tells us Elijah prayed concerning the drought.

Elijah had to deliver an unpopular message to a powerful king.

This teaches us that obedience may require:

• Courage
• Uncomfortable conversations
• Standing alone
• Trusting God with the consequences

Am I willing to obey God when obedience may make me unpopular?
